I developed for my students the NOTE-READING GAME. Please look at this short film. You’ll see a Pre-Twinkler. She is concentrating on an exercise from vol. 1A of STEP by STEP. In this example the child trains:
1) the visual relationship between the sound that is played and its graphic representation.
2) the pulse with its rhythmical accuracy
3) the memory for the tone sequence of Twinkle
4) the technique to prepare first the left, then the right hand.
